How to Clear the Cache, History and Cookies in Safari for iPad

In this brief tutorial I’ll show you how to clear the browsing history, the Safari cache and cookie files in Safari for the iPad.

We’ve got the steps for both “types” of clearing your browsing data – you can delete all of the stored website data (browsing history, cache and cookies) at once, or you can delete that website data on a site by site basis.

  11. Now tap the “minus sign” red button button (see screenshot below) next to the site you want to clear. Note: some sites will actually have data stored across multiple domains. For example, in the screenshot below you can see facebook.net listed, but if you want to clear all of the Facebook info from your iPad, you’d also need to delete fbcdn.net since that’s the part of Facebook where things like image files are stored. That’s why sometimes it’s best to just delete all of the stored website data on your iPad – just to make sure you’ve really cleared everything you want deleted.
