Learn to Avoid the iPhone App Library
Currently, the only way to "get rid" of the iPhone App Library is to simply avoid it. The App Library is located at the end of your Home Screens, and you can find it by swiping all the way to the right. Although you could just avoid swiping, there are other steps you can take to avoid using the App Library, too.
1. Add Widgets to Your Home Screen
One way to avoid the App Library is to add more apps, folders, and widgets to your Home screen. The more items you have, the longer it will take for you to scroll to the App Library, making it easier to ignore.
Some of the best iPhone widgets take up a ton of Home screen space. Plus, they may even boost your productivity. For example, there are widgets to check your email, maps, weather, and more. Choose the ones that fit your lifestyle and add those widgets to your Home screen.
2. Add New Apps Directly to Your Home Screen
It's possible that your new apps are downloading straight to the App Library, making it impossible not to use it. You can fix this by ensuring new apps are added to your Home screen. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings and then scroll until you find Home Screen.
- Make sure Add to Home Screen is selected under Newly Downloaded Apps.
3. Use Search to Find Your Apps
It's inevitable that you'll need to use the App Library at some point to locate an app. Yet, instead of searching through several folders to find it, you can use the search function instead. To use it, scroll to the App Library and type the app you're looking for in the search bar. Easy peasy.
