Virus Detected pop up which infects your android devices browsers and display unwanted ads, pop-ups.

These types of adwares track your activity to filter out ads related to your activity and searches. This can be annoying which is why it should be removed. These types of adwares come up bundled with apps or may install them onto your browser via another site.

In this guide, I will list down the steps you can take to remove this and any other adware from your browser.

Remove the Virus Detected Pop-up on your Phone:

The “Virus Detected” popup on the phone is usually due to Chrome being infected by certain adware which is cached by the browser and it can be easily fixed by clearing the cache and the data. However, this is also rarely seen in other browsers so it is recommended to clear their cache and data as well. In order to clear the cache and data on Chrome and other browsers:

  2. In settings, click on the “Applications” option and then select “apps”.
  3. In apps, scroll down and click on your browser which might be “Chrome, Samsung Internet, Browser, Firefox, UC Browser” or any other.
  4. Click on the “Storage” option and then select “Clear Cache”.

Remove Virus and Adware from your Phone

In some cases, the Virus might have infected your phone and it might need to be scanned and cleared manually. For that, you should Scan and remove viruses and also scan and remove adware that has infected your Android mobile. Not only that, but it is also possible that there are suspicious applications installed on your mobile that are giving you this error message.

If you have downloaded any third-party apps recently prior to getting this message, boot your mobile in safe mode and check if the error message is shown over there. If it isn’t, then it is most certainly the apps that are causing this particular issue. Therefore, it is recommended that you try to remove these apps from your phone and check if the issue still persists.

In addition to that, make sure that you don’t surf websites that are distributing certain software cracks or that ask you to download files that are suspicious because they contain viruses and they can infect your smartphone which can trigger this error.
