One college student came to my place referred by one of residents of our society. He wants to replace one capacitor which looks bulged & discolored. On asking about motherboard problem he is also not aware because he got this Motherboard from his colleague in his college. He tried to replace the Capacitor but he was not succeeding.
Cleaned top of the capacitor & here close look.
Turned back the Motherboard & I found some
flux is already there, as I told this student already tried.
Removed the capacitor from the motherboard was a bit complicated. Newbies does not have experience in removing the Lead-free solder.
I removed capacitor using Desoldering pump, Desolder wick following cleaning through hole using soldering iron & pointed needle.
Cleaned hole using needle.
Removed Capacitor has the value marked on it- 820uF/ 6.3v.
Opened my Capacitor box & found exact replacement.
Cleaned soldered points using IPA & handed over the motherboard to the student.
