Here, the following Student List is in a Pdf file. It contains Id No, Name, and City columns. We want to convert this Pdf to an Excel table. We will go through 3 methods to convert this Pdf to Excel table. Here, we used Excel 365. You can use any available Excel version.
Method -1: Using Copy and Paste Option to Convert Pdf to Table
Here, we will simply use the copy and paste option to convert a Pdf to an Excel table.
➤ First of all, we will select the dataset, and right-click on it.
A context menu will appear.
➤ After that, we will select Copy, or we can simply type CTRL+C after selecting the dataset.
Now, we will go to our Excel worksheet.
➤ We will go to the Home tab > click on Paste > select Paste Special.
A Paste Special window will appear.
➤ We will select Text, and click OK.
Now, we can see the copied data in our Excel sheet. However, we can see that the dataset takes the position of one column instead of 3 columns.
Now, we have to rearrange the data to form a table.
➤ Here, we will select the Name column from cell B11 to B19, and we will right-click.
A context menu appears.
➤ After that, we will select the Cut option.
Now, we want this Name column in cells C2 to C10.
➤ As a result, we will paste this data into cells C2 to C10.
➤ Then, we will select the City column from cells B20 to B28 > right-click > select Cut.
We want this column to be pasted into column D.
➤ Therefore, we select column D2 > right-click > select paste.
Finally, we can see the oriented data in the Excel sheet.
Now, we will create a table with this data.
➤ We will select the dataset > go to the Insert tab > select Table.
A Create Table window will appear.
➤ Then, click OK.
Finally, we can see the table in our dataset.
Here, in this method the data from the Pdf takes one column in the Excel sheet, therefore, we need to organize the data and create tables ourselves. Here, we used the cut paste option to arrange the dataset. You can use several tools and features according to your needs.

Method-2: Using Data Tab to Convert Pdf to Excel Table
This method is very effective to convert a Pdf to an Excel table. Here, we do not need to arrange the dataset like Method 1. However, this option is only available for Excel 365.
➤ First of all, we will open our worksheet > go to the Data tab > select Get Data.
➤ After that, we will select From File > From Pdf
Now, we have to select our required Pdf.
➤ Here, we selected the pdf Student List, click on Import.
We can see a Navigator window appear.
➤ We will select Table001 (Page 1), as it is our required table.
We can now see the table in the Navigator window.
➤ We will click on Load.
Finally, we can see the table in the Excel sheet.

Method-3: Using Word to Convert Pdf to Excel Table
If you do not have Excel 365, and you do not want to arrange a dataset like Method 1, this method will be very much helpful for you.
Here, we will use Word in between the Pdf and Excel to convert the Pdf to an Excel table.
➤ First of all, we will open a Word file > select the File tab.
➤ Now, we will select Open to open a Pdf in Word.
We can go to the Open option by simply typing CTRL+O on our keyboard.
➤ After that, we select the Students List Pdf and click on Open.
➤ Now, a confirmation window appears and we will click OK.
After that, we can see the dataset of the Pdf in Word.
➤ Now, to convert this data into Excel, we have to select the dataset > right-click > select Copy.
Now, we will go to the Excel sheet.
➤ We will click on any cell to convert the dataset, here we click on cell B2.
➤ After that, go to the Home tab > select Paste > select Match Destination Formatting.
Finally, we can see the dataset in the Excel sheet.
Now, we want to see the data as a table.
➤ To do so, we have to select the entire dataset > select Insert > select Table.
➤ Then, we will click OK in the Create Table window.
Finally, we can see the table in our Excel sheet.
