Deep scratches in your computer screen can be distracting and irritating, but rather than buy a new monitor, you can try repairing the current one. Lighter scratches may be removed using a pencil eraser or rubbing alcohol, but deeper scratches require a substance that can sink all the way into the surface.

The quick list: How to remove deep scratches on a computer screen

  1. Using the microfiber cloth, gently wipe the computer screen until it is clean.
  2. Remove some petroleum jelly from the container using a cotton swab.
  3. Rub the petroleum jelly directly on the scratch until the scratch is completely filled.
