As part of the November 2022 Microsoft patch Tuesday update today Microsoft has released the Windows 10 KB5019959 and KB5019966 cumulative updates for versions 22H2 and 1809. The latest Windows 10 KB5019959 and KB5019966 include numerous bug fixes, Security enhancements and improve the system performance as well. Microsoft has also published direct download links for Windows 10 KB5019959 offline installers.

Like previous Patch Tuesday releases, this Windows 10 update KB5019959 doesn’t come with any new features. Rather, the focus is on security, reliability improvements, and fixes across the board.

- It addresses graphical issues in games that use Microsoft D3D9 on some platforms.
- Windows 10 KB5019959 also addresses an issue that affects Microsoft Edge when it is in IE Mode. The titles of pop-up windows and tabs are wrong or the browser stops you from opening web pages.
- Todays update addresses a DCOM issue that affects the Remote Procedure Call Service (rpcss.exe).
- It addresses an issue that might cause an application to stop responding. This might occur when the input queue overflows.
- Microsoft is fixing an issue that affects the lasso tool in a graphics editing program

Known issues:
- Some devices, created using custom offline media or ISO images, may have Edge Legacy removed but not replaced by the new Edge. Microsoft has a workaround for this.
- After installing this update, Microsoft OneDrive might unexpectedly close, and you might receive an error when attempting Sign out or unlink your account in the Microsoft OneDrive sync app.
- Uninstalling the OneDrive sync app might fail. You’ll also run into issues when syncing to your device from Microsoft SharePoint or Teams.
Uninstall Windows 10 KB5019959
If installing KB5019959 causes issues on your device you can uninstall the update to revert the changes.

Microsoft has also announced KB5019966 for devices still running, Windows 10 version 1809. This update contains miscellaneous security improvements to internal OS functionality.
- It addresses an issue that affects Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) authentication hardening.
- Addresses a DCOM issue that affects the Remote Procedure Call Service (rpcss.exe).
- There is bug fix for an issue that affects the Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD) Application Proxy connector.
- Updates the Windows kernel vulnerable driver blocklist that is in the DriverSiPolicy.p7b file. This update also ensures that the blocklist is the same across Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- It addresses an issue that affects focus order. This issue occurs when you tab from the password field on a credentials page.
- It addresses an issue that affects the Forest Trust creation process. It fails to add the Domain Name System (DNS) name suffixes to the trust information attributes.
- Addresses a timing condition in Remote Desktops that causes a device to stop working during the licensing process.
- Addresses an issue that causes the Host Networking Service to stop working. This leads to traffic interruptions.
Known issue with this update:
After installing KB5001342 or later, the Cluster Service might fail to start because a Cluster Network Driver is not found. Microsoft recommends restart your device to fix such problem.
