How to Adjust the Taskbar Settings in Windows 10

There are certain parts of Windows we take for granted. We just know how to access certain settings on our PCs because we've done it so many times, it becomes second nature.

However, when Microsoft makes an update to Windows, things get moved around. A tweak you thought was in one place will suddenly not be there anymore -- and one thing everyone should absolutely know is how to adjust settings for the taskbar.

There are two methods now. The first one only works if your PC has at least Windows 10 build 14271 or above (you'll need to be in the preview program to have this version at the moment). Check what build you have before you go digging in the settings!

How to Adjust the Taskbar Settings in Windows 10

Method One: First, open the Settings app. Then, click System, followed by Taskbar on the menu on the left. Again, this method will only work with build 14271 or newer. However, it will roll out in the next major Windows 10 update, so it's helpful to know where to find the taskbar settings now.

Method Two: If you don't have the new version of Windows 10, you can get access to the settings by right-clicking on the taskbar and then clicking Properties. From there, you can change things like when it auto-hides, how it looks, and so on.
