Windows Subsystem for Android gets an August update

Microsoft has updated the Windows Subsystem for Android which comes in at version 2207.40000.8.0. WSA is the emulation layer that allows Windows 11 users to run Android apps is shipping to all Windows 11 Insiders in all channels (that's U.S. and Japan only).

The update brings several bug fixes and improvements, among them a new compatibility shim that lets apps retain their aspect ratio but still support resize, enhanced accessibility to the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app and it also fixed problems with restarting apps.
