Windows 11 Insider Beta Channel gets another pair of new builds: 22621.746 and 22623.746

The Windows 11 Insider update train just keeps rolling along, and today Microsoft has released another pair of new Beta Channel builds, moving the build numbers to 11621.746 and 22623.746. A quick reminder that the lower number of the pair of builds have new features off by default, with the larger number (22623 in this case) have new features "rolling out."

Indeed, rolling out to 22623.746.746 is "preliminary support" for the ability to rearrange System Tray icons:

22623.746 also fixes an issue for the tablet-optimized taskbar, and one for hiding the taskbar.

Both new builds get a pair of fixes:

  • We enabled the ms-appinstaller Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) to work for the DesktopAppInstaller.
  • We fixed an issue that affects the Windows Search service. Indexing progress is slow when you use the service

and audio problems, tablet-optimized taskbar issues, and issues when dragging System Tray icons are still known issues.
