Microsoft has just announced the release of the Windows 11 preview build 22504, which will likely be the last flight of the month for the Dev Channel due to the US Thanksgiving holiday coming next week. Starting with this build, select Insiders will be able to apply the 13 themes for the touch keyboard to other input experiences, including IMEs, the emoji panel, and voice typing.
The new theme engine also lets Insiders create their own theme with a custom background image, in addition to the existing 13 themes. These new customization options are available under the new “Text Input” section under Settings > Personalization.

Microsoft is also testing with select Insiders the ability for personalized combinations of emoji based on face and skin tones of family members, couples with heart, kissing, and people holding hands. These different combinations are available in the emoji panel (WIN + . ), and the Windows Insider team will be listening to feedback before rolling out these emoji improvements to more testers.

Today’s Windows 11 build 22504 also brings other minor changes, bug fixes, and known issues, and you can check out the full list below:
Starting today, the Windows Insider team is also starting to roll out a redesigned Your Phone app to all Windows 11 Insiders on the Dev Channel. The new app has adopted the Windows 11 design language with rounded corners, and it also brings a new feed with real-time notifications from your most-used Android apps. You can learn more about this new Your Phone app in our separate post.
