Windows 11 Build 25131 hits the Dev Channel with several Microsoft Store updates

Microsoft has just released Windows 11 Build 25131. This build brings a good set of fixes, along with some updates to the Microsoft Store. Here's what you need to know.

First up, we'll talk about the Microsoft Store updates in this build. Now up to version 22205.1401.3.0 on the Dev Channel, Microsoft says it has now rolled out native Arm64 support to the Store, for faster and better performance. They've also improved automatic updates for your apps. The Store will now skip over apps that you have open, so you don’t lose any important work. You can update the apps later in the Microsoft Store. Other store changes are below.

For this fixes in this build, Microsoft has a big one. They fixed an issue causing some Insider PCs with certain AMD processors to bugcheck and roll back when attempting to upgrade to last week’s flight. They also fixed an issue that was causing some Insiders with secondary accounts on their PC to not be able to upgrade to the latest builds. Other fixes are below.

There are only three known issues in this release. There's a new one where shutting down via the Start menu isn’t working for some Insiders and is unexpectedly rebooting instead. In addition, there's the ongoing issue with Live Captions from the past build, and the issue where games that use anti-cheat might crash.

Happy downloading, Windows Insiders! And for you developers, there are now SDKs for new Dev Channel builds again.
